2019 Golfing Visitors to the Golf Club Policy Revision
- In 2018 we had an income of £19470 in visitors fees. this was a shortfall against our visitors budget of £5530
- Given the need to generate a cash surplus for the future, achieving or exceeding our 2019 visitors budget of £25000 is an essential part of our financial planning to compensate for reduced membership numbers and income
- Our Visitor Policy was changed in 2018 to allow Visitors on Saturdays and Sundays. The Management Committee have reviewed our Visitors Policy and propose the following revisions for 2019
Saturdays
- In the 2019 playing season we will have one Saturday a month with a Book medal where members can play in the book medal or arrange their own “bounce” games. Visitors will only be accepted on these Saturdays for 4 selected Tee times throughout the day.
- The Four (4) Saturday visitors Tee times will be 10.02, 10.58, 12.02, 12.58
- Visitors will be permitted to play in 2, 3 or 4 balls.
- Saturday Green fees will be £40 per player
- No visitors will be accepted on club competition Saturdays
- Details of all Saturday visiting parties will be shown on BRS
- The club will accept larger visiting parties on a Saturday from 3.30pm.
Sundays
- Sunday morning for members to remain as Turn Up and Play using time slot
based Starting Sheet.
- The Club will accept a visiting party from 10.30am on 6 Sundays during the playing season. (April to October)
- Visiting parties will be permitted to play in 4 balls
- Advance details of all Sunday visiting parties will be shown on BRS and Starting Sheet.
- Green fees will be £40 per player or £150 per 4 Ball on Sundays
- No visitors will be accepted on the following Sundays Club Championship, Bobby Blackley, Pro Am, AM AM
Monday to Friday
Members Guests
- Reduction in members guest revenue in 2018
- Encourage members to bring their guests to play the course by –
- Reduced members guest green fees at off peak times
- Members guest frequent play discount (i.e. introduce 6 pay for 5)
- Special discounted Golf and Food/Beverage packages for members and guests
The aim of the Bishopbriggs Golf Club is to provide our members and guests with a cost effective, quality golfing experience within a friendly welcoming atmosphere. Increase Marketing and advertising activity to attract more visitors and visiting parties. Convert visitors into members by targeting marketing activity following their visit to the golf club.
